Download and set the FilterContentViewFrontend template

After you download the new template code, you need to tell Sitefinity CMS to use your custom master view instead of the default one. You do this by using the widget definition. You need to substitute the existing view with a custom one through the corresponding ContentViewDefinitionElement.

  1. Download the FilterContentViewFrontend and extract the contents of the ZIP file to a dedicated folder.
  2. Open your project in Visual Studio.
  3. Copy the CustomWidgets folder and its contents and place it under the root of your Sitefinity CMS web application. The folder content must have the following structure:
    CustomWidgets » News » Views.
  4. Build the project.

You now need to follow the procedure in Map the FilterContentViewFrontend template to the News widget tofor all widgets of type News.
