Duplicate forms

You can duplicate an existing form and save it with a different name. This is useful when you want to have similar forms and do not want to create them from scratch.

You have the option to set the confirmation message for each form individually. One and the same form can have different confirmations when used with different widgets. You set this using the Form widget.

When you duplicate a form, Sitefinity CMS copies its layout, all the widgets and their configuration, the form’s permissions, and all the form’s settings. The only setting that is not duplicated is the list of email subscribers. For more information, see Setup email notifications for form responses. Form responses are not duplicated, as well.

To duplicate a form:

  1. Click Content » Forms.
  2. Click the Actions link of the form that you want to duplicate and click Duplicate.
  3. In Title, enter a name for the form that is different from the original form.
  4. Click one of the following:
    • Create and go to add content
The form opens in editing mode. It has the same content and layout as the original form. You can change the content, the layout, and the settings and save the form in a different status than the original form.
    • Create and return to Forms
The duplicated form that you have created has the same content and layout as the original one and is saved in status Draft, regardless of the status of the original form.
