Add new fields to widget templates

If you have added a custom field to a content type and you want to display this field in the frontend, you must add it to the widget template that the widget is using.

EXAMPLE: You have added a custom field Dress code to Events. For each event displayed on the website, you want to display field Dress code with its respective value. For example, the user that created the event, entered Casual in the Dress code input field. To accomplish this, you must add the Dress code field to the template that is applied to the widget. If you do not see the fields on the website, make sure that the widget is using the template, to which you have added the field.
For more information see Apply a widget template to a widget.
