Shopping cart summary widget

Use this widget to display a link to the shopping cart and a summary of the number of products currently added to the cart. You use this widget, if you have dropped the Product list and the Shopping cart widget on different pages. This way, by dropping the Shopping cart summary widget on the page where the Product list widget is added, you provide the user with a link to the shopping cart.

PREREQUISITES: You have added and configured the Shopping cart widget, the Checkout widget, and the Product list widget.

After you have dragged the Shopping cart summary widget on your page you must configure it.

  1. To do this, click Edit button in the upper-right corner of the widget.
  2. Configure the link to the page where the Checkout widget is.
This can be the same page or a different page.
    1. Under Link to checkout page, click Select a page.
A list of all pages appears.
    2. Select the page and click Done selecting.
  3. Configure the link to the page where the shopping cart is.
    1. Under Link to shopping cart, click Select a page.
A list of all pages appears.
    2. Select the page and click Done selecting.
    3. In Shopping cart summary template, select the template, which is used to display the shopping cart summary on the webpage.
You can create a custom template by clicking Create new template. You can edit existing template by selecting it and clicking Edit template...
For more information, see Create and edit widget templates.
  4. In Size of thumbnails dropdown box, select the size of the product images that will be displayed in the Shopping cart summary widget.
You use thumbnails instead of actual image sizes in order to speed up the loading of the page.
Choose between one of the predefined thumbnail sizes. For more information about defining new sizes, see Thumbnails.

PREREQUISITES: The library that contains the product images must have generated thumbnails for the size that you have selected. For example, if in the Shopping cart summary widget you have selected size of thumbnails 80x80 px, the library that contains the product images must also have generated 80x80 px thumbnails. For more information, see Image libraries » Step 6. If the library does not have the selected size of thumbnails, the system automatically generates 160x160 px image thumbnails for the products.

  5. When you are finished, click Save.
The Edit window closes and the Shopping cart summary widget is configured to display the link to the shopping cart.

For more information about advanced configuration options, see Advanced configuration of widgets.
