Create a localized department

To localize Ecommerce departments, you set the required culture by passing it as a parameter to the Lstring properties of the departments.

In the following code example, you localize an Ecommerce department for the languages that are available in your Sitefinity CMS project.

In the example below, you perform the following:

  1. Get an instance of the TaxonomyManager class.
  2. Using the TaxonomyManager get the HierarchicalTaxonomy for Departments.
If such a taxonomy does not exist, discontinue the execution of the method.
  3. Using the TaxonomyManager create a HierarchicalTaxon.
  4. Set the properties of the HierarchicalTaxon objects.
Passing the culture when setting the Title of the hierarchical taxon ensures that the taxon is localized for that specific culture. Optionally, set a parent of the hierarchical taxon.
  5. Save the changes.
