Facebook feed widget
Use the Facebook feed widget to display the most recent Facebook activity on your website. The feed displays activities when someone likes, shares, or comment content on your website. To generate activity, you must add on your site elements such as the Like button.
To configure the Facebook feed widget, perform the following:
-
After you have dragged the widget on your page, click Edit button in the upper-right corner of the widget.
The Facebook activity feed window appears.
-
In Domain, enter the domain of your website.
This is the domain of the website for which you want to see Facebook feeds, it is not the Facebook page of your company.
For example, http://www.mydomain.com
- Use the Height and Width input fields to define the size of the feed window in pixels.
-
Choose how the feed will look like by selecting the Font and the Border color of the widget.
-
When a user clicks a feed, choose whether to open it in a new window or in the same window.
-
If you select Show header checkbox, the Recent Activity header will appear on top of the feed.
-
If you select Show recommendations checkbox, the feed is split in two halves. The top displays activities of the logged user’s friends; the bottom displays recommendations from your site. If there is not enough friend activity, the top half is filled with recommendations.
-
If you have the Facebook feed widget on more than one page of your website and you want to track which instance of the widget generates more traffic to your website, you can append an additional parameter to each link by entering this parameter in Label for tracking referrals input field.
For example, if you have the Facebook feed widget on your Home page and your Categories page, you can enter home in the widget on your Home page and enter categories in the widget on your Categories page.
-
When you are finished with all the settings, click Save.
The Facebook activity feed window closes and the widget is configured to display Facebook feeds.
