In less than 6 days we’ve seen some amazing accomplishments with this BETA release. Lino Tadros (with Falafel) produced an incredible video that introduces Sitefinity 4.0’s Fluent API. Matt Cooper was able to get Sitefinity 4.0 running in the cloud (Azure). We’ve also see a few early adopters experiment with converting their web sites to the Sitefinity 4.0 BETA. We’re overwhelmed with the feedback, communications and enthusiasm we’ve received surrounding this release.
This week we have even more planned. To kick this off, we released new Sitefinity 4.0 BETA Guides:
- Installation Guide and System Requirements
- User Manual
- Developer Manual
- Content Writers Guide
- Designers Guide
We recognize that the CMS touches a lot of diverse audiences. We’ve invested a lot of time & effort into creating guides that address these unique audiences (developers, designers, authors). These guides are still evolving, but they should help anyone who is exploring the 4.0 BETA.
Please use these guides and tell us what we’re missing. As always, we welcome your feedback.
Next up, we plan to release the Sitefinity 4.0 SDK (software developer’s kit). For anyone wanting to do deep-dive development with the 4.0 BETA or create Sitefinity 4.0 add-on’s this will be great resource. More on this subject soon…
