Sitefinity 10.2 Drops Support of the Default Backend Theme

June 07, 2017 Digital Experience

Sitefinity’s Light Theme follows new design trends in regards to look and feel, productivity and content interaction. Design best practices and recommendations constantly shifting and evolving, but you can rest assured knowing that the Progress Sitefinity team is diligently following them to provide the best possible experience to users.
That being said, design guidelines do change quite frequently, which means we spend a lot of time implementing all the new best practices. That’s why we decided the best course of action would be discontinuing support of the old theme (Default) and spending more time on keeping the Light Theme fresh and updated.
In Sitefinity 10.2, the only predefined option for a backend theme will be the Light Theme.

In case you are still using the old Default Theme, we recommend you update to the Light Theme. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Your feedback is important to us, so please leave us a comment below.
