Edit the model of pages and templates

This procedure outlines how to modify the content model of a page or template. When a page is created, it follows a predefined model that determines which fields, such as page title, parent, and URL, are presented for completion. You can adjust the model by adding or removing fields, such as related image or owner, to better suit your specific requirements.

To change the content model of pages or templates, perform the following:

  1. In the backend, expand the Administration menu.
  2. Under CONTENT MODEL, click Pages and templates.
  3. Depending on what you want to change, click Pages or Templates, respectively.
The Content model editor appears, displaying the predefined fields of pages or templates. These are the fields that appear when creating a page or a template.
  4. Add or remove fields to suit your requirements.
For more information, see Content model editor.
  5. Publish the new model.

RESULT: The next time you create a page or a template, the new model will be applied.
