Edit the model of media types

This procedure outlines how to modify the content model of built-in media types - Images and Documents. When a media type is uploaded, it follows a predefined model that determines which fields, such as title, alternative text, and URL, are presented for completion. You can adjust the model by adding or removing fields, such as author or owner, to better suit your specific requirements.

To change the content model of images or documents, perform the following:

1. In the backend, expand the Administration menu.
2. Under CONTENT MODEL, click Media.
3. Depending on what you want to change, click Images or Documents, respectively.
   The Content model editor appears, displaying the predefined fields of images or documents. These are the fields that appear when uploading an image or a document.
4. Add or remove fields to suit your requirements.

5. Publish the new model.

RESULT: The next time you upload an image or document, the new model will be applied.
