Code Sync

Sitefinity CMS with Code Sync & Deploy introduces a layer of collaboration within a remote environment. Code Sync allows you to share code, fix bugs, and develop widgets and modules.  Code Sync offers integration with Visual Studio through Sitefinity CMS Thunder, so you can contribute and collaborate without using external tools.

PREREQUISITES: To use the Code Sync, you must:
  • Use Sitefinity CMS 4.4 or above.
  • Use Visual Studio 2010 with Service Pack 1 or Visual Studio 2012 with Update 3.
  • Have an active Sitefinity CMS license for Site Sync . If you want to activate Site Sync in order to use Code Sync & Deploy you must upgrade your license. For more information, contact sitefinitysales@progress.com. 
  • Give the Windows account, which the website is running under, read, write, and modify permissions for the directory that you have specified in the ServerSettings.xml file.

To use Code Sync, you must first setup it on the server side and then on the client side.
