Creating layout widgets

1. In the Solution Explorer, select the folder where you want to put the layout widget
2. Open its context menu, select Add » New Item… 
3. In the left pane, select Sitefinity CMS and in the central pane, select Sitefinity CMS Layout Widget.
   Sitefinity CMS Thunder generates a sample widget template and registers it in the toolbox configuration in Sitefinity CMS and, if it is located in a class library, registers the project in the virtual paths configuration. 

You can view your custom layout widgets when editing a page or a template layout. For more information, see Add layout elements.
