SHARE, an independent, volunteer-run association providing IBM customers with user-focused education, professional networking, and a forum to influence the information technology industry will host its annual user conference Aug. 23-28 at the Colorado Convention Center.

Venture to the Mile High City for five days of in-depth, technical education and the opportunity to connect face-to-face with leading professionals and colleagues and discover the latest trends and business solutions in the enterprise technology community.  Moreover, plan to attend my conference session, Monday, Aug. 24 at 3:00 p.m. titled, The Next Wave of SOA: Real-Time Events and CICS TS v. 4.1 (session #0901)

Session Abstract:  The need for real-time information has never been more crucial than in today’s current business environment. Next generation technologies supporting SOA must include the capability to capture business meaningful changes in behavior and information. Nestled in the latest release of CICS is the ability to capture transactional behaviors as events, which when coupled with data events, provides an unprecedented level of visibility.  This presentation will explore the next wave of SOA - Events, and demonstrate the ease in which CICS TS V4.1 can be combined with an event-enable middleware, like DataDirect Shadow, to create an enriched business event that can be easily transported via multiple protocols to provide low-latency mainframe intelligence to drive BI, BAM or CEP applications.
