Over the years, we’ve built a solid foundation for sales enablement—weekly sales huddles and trainings that foster continuous learning and development. These efforts have helped our teams stay informed and aligned, especially during complex product launches. But even with all these resources, one challenge persisted: How do we make product knowledge truly stick for sellers and partners?
That’s when Wondercraft entered the picture.
We weren’t looking for an AI podcast tool. We were just trying to solve a real problem: driving retention. Wondercraft’s AI-powered audio studio made sense—not as a replacement for what we were doing, but as a powerful complement to everything we’d already built.
It gave us a way to turn enablement into something people wanted to engage with. Short, story-driven audio that felt like a real conversation. Not another training. Not another doc. Just something you could listen to, learn from and move on.
Building the Blueprint
Our idea to bring Wondercraft into our sales enablement toolkit was first tested by our SVP, Emerging Markets and Field Operations. He was an early power user who saw the potential and taught me how to use it. From there, I passed it on to an intern within Field Sales Enablement, who helped elevate the concept even further.
We started small. Instead of leaning only on long-form docs or hour-long trainings, we built what we now call Progress Shorts, which are bite-sized podcasts that mimic real sales scenarios depending on the complexity of the launch. They’ve got sound effects, realistic voices and even a little humor. Honestly, if I didn’t tell you they were AI-generated, you probably wouldn’t know.
And I’ve got to give credit where it’s due. Our intern was the one who really took this idea to the next level and came up with the name “Progress Shorts,” and introduced the concept of having different types of shorts depending on the need. That opened the door for us to get creative and make the experience more dynamic.
It’s also worth noting that none of this would’ve happened without my manager, who had the foresight to bring on an intern to help drive some of our AI initiatives. That decision helped us move faster, think bigger and ultimately build something that makes a real impact.
Progress Shorts don’t replace the traditional materials. They complement them. The docs and deep-dive training provide the full details, while the Shorts offer quick, repeatable reinforcement. If the full enablement package is the sheet music for a product launch, then Progress Shorts are the melody line—clear, memorable and easy to follow. Together, they help the entire team stay in sync.
The Ripple Effect
Whether you’re in Product Marketing, Operations, Sales, Engineering, Support or Leadership, the way we learn and share knowledge is changing. Wondercraft isn’t just a tool. It’s a shift in how we think about enablement. It’s about meeting people where they are, in formats they actually enjoy and making learning feel less like a task and more like a conversation.
And the feedback speaks for itself. One manager messaged our intern saying, “I really loved the podcast script. It sounded like a breath of fresh air compared to the usual content, excellent work!” That kind of response tells us we’re not just delivering information—we’re delivering impact.
With Wondercraft, we’re building that connection one Progress Short at a time. Enablement isn’t just about training. It’s about the connection to comprehension. To learn other ways AI enthusiasts, inside and outside Progress, are using AI, explore our other AI thought leadership blog posts.
