Some excellent questions at my introduction to XQuery and XQJ talk - I'll post a PDF version of my presentation and a copy of some the questions I received shortly.

Otherwise, this was an excellent conference and all though the majority of chatter rotated around EJB 3.0, JDO 2.0 persistence debates, it is clear that the level of interest in XQuery is growing. Jason Hunter also spoke on XQuery, discussing the technology from MarkLogic's point-of-view by illustrating XQuery usage from the document management perspective. My presentation focused more on the core experience of DataDirect; that is, our ability to perform XQuery expressions across a full set of relational data stores, which lets face is where the majority of data lives; regardless of whether you use EJB, JDO, POJO, JDBC...
