DataDirect Technologies, the unparalleled leader in data connectivity and mainframe integration, and an operating company of Progress Software Corporation (Nasdaq:PRGS), today announced that Shadow RTE(TM) 6.1.2, the latest version of its industry leading mainframe integration software is generally available and provides new functionality to advance SOA enablement by simplifying the transformation of mainframe data, business logic and screens into industry standard Web services and enabling organizations with sizable investments in IBM WebSphere(R) MQ to better leverage their messaging infrastructure utilizing SOAP and Web services.
Additionally, new features are provided within Shadow RTE 6.1.2 for customers of Advantage(TM) CA-IDMS(R) to streamline operational efficiencies via support for real-time eventing, and lastly, new enhancements have been included in this version of Shadow RTE that support improved Web enablement of mainframe screen-based applications.
