Royal Dirkzwager
To meet customer demand for a higher level of service, faster response times and more reliable information covering a wider geographical area, Royal Dirkzwager sought to replace its existing automatic information system system that was based on transponder technology with one that leveraged satellite technology. But it was concerned the increase in data would overwhelm the existing systems.
That’s why Royal Dirkzwager turned to Progress® Sonic® ESB and the Progress® Apama® Complex Event Processing (CEP) platform to develop its “Lines at Sea” system. Capable of handling 1,000 events per second in real-time, the new system can gather complete data about shipping movements all over the world, and enable proactive information provisioning. Royal Dirkzwager is now delivering innovative products and services that deliver an ROI to its clients, such as better management of fuel consumption and speed.
