Application Layout View

An Application Layout view is a system view which is part of the build-in Application Module.

Unite UX Studio supports creating multiple application layouts and associating views with each of them.

Features

  • Represents the layout of the whole or part of the application.
  • Provides options to associate Blank Views with the specified layout.
  • Possesses all functionalities of the Blank View including additional layout components.
  • Contains the default Content Placeholder component which provides options to load other views at runtime.
  • Provides options for adding, modifying, and removing rows and columns.
  • Contains a collection of data sources which can be used for loading data in data-bound components.
  • Delivers the site components and provides options for adding, modifying, and removing them within the view.
  • Provides options for editing its properties. For more information on the specific settings that are subject to modification, refer to the right-hand vertical toolbar (property grid) of the view.

Application Layout View

Detached Views

It is not required for a Blank View to be associated with an application layout. In this case, the view appears in the detached views list. You can easily create new detached views from the + > New View item on the right of the application name or detach existing views by drag and drop them in the detached views list.

Creating Application Layout View

  1. Click on the + button on the right of the application name
  2. Click on the New App Layout item
  3. In Name, provide the name of the new layout view
  4. Click Add Layout to create the new layout. As a result, it appears in the layouts and views list

  1. Click on the ... context menu to the right of the LAYOUT view
  2. Click on the Add New View item
  3. In the dialog window, provide the new view settings
  4. Click Add View to create the new view. As a result, it appears in the layout associated views

Associating Existing View With Application Layout

Associate a view with a specific layout by simply drag and drop it in the layout associated views list.

Deleting Application Layout

  1. Click on the ... context menu to the right of the LAYOUT view
  2. Click on the Delete item
  3. Click Delete to delete the layout. As a result, all associated views (if any) would be detached and moved to the detached views list
