Track and collect data from Sitefinity CMS

By connecting your Sitefinity CMS instance to Sitefinity Digital Experience Cloud (DEC), you enable the marketing and the sales teams to track user behavior on your site, to visualize data in meaningful reports, to profile your audience, to create impactful content, and to accomplish their business and marketing goals.

PREREQUISITES: You must comply with the following prerequisites:
  • You have a Sitefinity CMS Online Marketing Edition or Sitefinity CMS Enterprise Edition license. For more information, contact sitefinitysales@progress.com.
  • You have installed the Connector for Digital Experience Cloud module.
    For more information, see Activate and deactivate modules.
  • You have created at least one data center in Sitefinity DEC and you have its API Key. For more information, see Manage data centers.
  • You must have a Sitefinity DEC Access key. For more information, see Connect your sites to DEC.

To configure Sitefinity DEC connector, perform the following, depending on your Sitefinity CMS version:

Sitefinity CMS version Description
12.1 and later
  1. In Sitefinity CMS backend, navigate to Administration » Digital Experience Cloud.
  2. Enter your access key.
  3. Click Connect » Set your tracking.
  4. In the dropdown box, select the data center.
  5. In the list of sites, select the ones that you want to report to the data center.
  6. Click Save.
10.0 - 12.0
  1. In the Sitefinity CMS backend, navigate to Administration » Digital Experience Cloud.
  2. In Telerik username, enter AccessKey.
  3. In Telerik password, enter your access key.
  4. Click Connect » Set your tracking.
  5. In the dropdown box, select the data center.
  6. In the list of sites, select the ones that you want to report to the selected data center.
  7. Click Save.

PREREQUISITES: Obtain the API key of the data center where you want to report data. For more information, see API key.

  1. In Sitefinity CMS backend, navigate to Administration » Digital Experience Cloud.
  2. Enter the API key of the data center where you want to report data.
  3. Enter the connection name.
    Enter a name that will help you distinguish the data source.
  4. In Telerik username, enter AccessKey.
  5. In Telerik password, enter your access key.
  6. Click Connect.
 8.0 and older To connect Sitefinity CMS 8.0 or older version to Sitefinity DEC, contact sitefinitysales@progress.com.
