About the Team
You will be part of the Progress Core Product team, reporting to the VP of Product Management and Product Marketing. You will lead a team of Experience Designers (Interaction Design and Visual Design) to conduct user, product, and market research and deliver wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that define the UX strategy for these products.  The location for this position is in our Bedford, MA office. 

About the Role
  • Will be responsible for leading a team of 4-6 Experience Designers across 4 Application Development and Integration products
  • Will conduct customer interviews, usability reviews, surveys, market research, and other means of gathering requirements and feedback
  • Will work closely with Product Management to deliver user stories, designs, and prototypes that define the product development vision for future releases
  • Will make strategic decisions regarding goals and priorities pertaining to current and future work 
  • Communicate with employees and customers about the usability vision and UX roadmap for our products
  • Requires you to develop understanding and empathy for our various user personas, including software developers, database administrators, and business analysts
  • Align closely with Corporate Design and the other business units in order to ensure brand alignment across the company
  • Mentor/develop the team, improve processes, and be a champion of the products


About You
  • Curious and passionate for all things UX
  • At least 2 years of experience leading UX teams for software products
  • User-first thinking
  • Strong communicator who understands the importance of listening and mentoring
  • Love to work with customers and users to uncover pain, and design future improvements
  • Understands the importance of analysis and iteration as it applies to user testing, user feedback, A/B testing, and more
  • Strong experience in UX design, best practices, and impactful trends
  • Open to feedback, criticism and design objections without ego
  • Experience working with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, and others similar
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
