Software Engineer, Senior

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on Java and a background in CloudOps. If you thrive in a collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment, we invite you to join our team of creative problem solvers.

What you will do in this role:

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java-based applications in the cloud
• Participate in planning, code reviews, design, and test automation
• Champion software development best practices
• Function as a strategic partner with our Lead Architect to optimize high-performing systems and contribute to the creation of reference architectures and baseline models
• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to develop robust cloud-based solutions
• Be a technology advocate, staying updated with technology trends, learning and experimenting with new technologies

What you will bring to this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• 5+ years of experience in designing and delivering software systems
• High level of proficiency in Java and Spring Framework, with familiarity in other languages
• Prior experience in CloudOps Engineering, including experience working with public cloud-hosted environments
• Knowledge of micro-services and scalable cloud architectures, as well as container orchestration services
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
