To support the company’s acquisition strategy, we are currently expanding two of our existing teams: The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team and the Enterprise Websites team.

The primary responsibility of the M&A web integration team is to migrate acquired company’s web assets to our systems and platforms. Our goal is to ensure the seamless transition of those assets and automate as much of this process as possible. We actively contribute and support the company’s strategy by building robust, maintainable and secure applications.

The Enterprise Websites team is tasked with building and supporting all public web assets of Progress (think www.progress.com and tens of other pages). Our goal is to secure unmatched user experience across all touchpoints of the Progress online presence. We are now looking for a Software engineer, who is passionate about writing outstanding software, has a love for solving difficult problems, enjoys learning about new technologies, and contributing to products used by thousands of people.

 About the role:

  • Take responsibility for building new functionalities and enhancing existing ones
  • Participate in the research of the software components behind the team tasks and have a good understanding of the architecture and design of the team's products
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable, and readable code whilst adhering to the team’s coding quality standards
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues, providing the best possible solution in a timely manner
  • Analyze business requirements. Provide additional scenarios and use cases - based on continuously enriched understanding of the customer problem
  • Provide realistic time estimates on tasks and assignments
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization
  • Address customer inquiries

About you:

  • Hands on experience with C# and ASP.NET 
  • Professional experience with Web API 
  • Experience with relational databases and MS SQL Server
  • Experience with version control systems (Azure Devops, Git etc.)
  • Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, CSS and HTML
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles
  • Familiar with Object Oriented Design and Architecture, as well as Design patterns
  • A team player with good communication skills in English

Extra Awesome:

  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Experience with integration of third-party systems and development of business applications
