Sitefinity Sales Engineer

Join us as a Sitefinity Sales Engineer working in our EMEA1 region – covering the UK & Ireland, Eastern Europe, Nordics, Iberia, Italy, the Middle East, and Africa. In this role, you will support prospects, customers, and partners throughout the sales process. You will deliver technical product presentations and demonstrations, including the mapping of technical functionality to business needs in support of sales.

What you'll do: 

  • Creating customized product presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept (POCs) for prospects, customers, and partners
  • Providing technical help to the sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle
  • Identifying customers’ technical challenges and needs to map to appropriate technical prove-points
  • Developing internal presentations for key stakeholders and senior executives
  • Working with clients to identify problems and suggest appropriate corrective measures
  • Responding to requests for proposals and requests for information from prospects & customers
  • Positioning Sitefinity as a product and Digital experience as a solution throughout the sales cycle
  • Providing customers with up-to-date information about Progress’ wider product portfolio, solutions, and license configuration options
  • Researching competing products, analyst reports, and market trends to produce insightful information for both the marketing and development teams

Your profile: 

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET platform and/or prior programming knowledge in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET)
  • Experience with Web Content Management software
  • A degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration or a related field will be an advantage 
  • Previous background in a technical customer-oriented position is required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Outstanding presentation skills and experience in the delivery of complex technical and sales-oriented presentations
  • Self-driven personality who enjoys working with people
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, and CSS, and other Web 2.0 technologies, including some exposure to security standards, will be considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Web Content Management market is a plus
  • Prior experience working within a complex sales process is advantageous as is exposure to a recognized sales methodology (such as Solution Selling or similar)
  • Technical writing skills are a big plus but are not required
