Job Summary

Progress Software is currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Sitefinity CMS team. As an engineer by heart and a business person by occupation, you will identify customers’ technical needs and business objectives, develop a technical sales strategy and present Sitefinity as the next-generation content management system. You will work closely with sales account executives to win net new customers and partners as well as expand existing partner channel business.

* Sales support including documented discovery, solution validation, standard and customized demonstrations, proof of concept/value and actions to advance and close sales opportunities and business partner initiatives
* Position Sitefinity CMS throughout the sales cycle
* Provide technical support to the sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle
* Respond to requests for proposals and requests for information from prospects and customers
* Create customized product demonstrations for prospective customers
* Develop internal presentations for key stakeholders and senior executives
* Provide customers with up to date information about the product, pricing, and licencing model
* Research competing products and provided competitor analysis reports to the marketing and development teams


* A degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration or related fields
* 2+ years experience with Web Content Management solutions, as well as, in a technical customer-oriented position is required
* Experience in Marketing Automation solutions is an advantage but not required
* Knowledge of Microsoft .NET and/or prior programming knowledge in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET)
* Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, and CSS is a big advantage
* Outstanding presentation skills and experience in the delivery of complex technical and sales orientated presentations
* Energetic personality who enjoys working with people and helping customers
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
