Job Summary

Marketing Operations Analyst

This role is responsible for managing Marketing data, including analysis, governance, segmentation, and cleanliness, to optimize Marketing’s performance. The analyst role will partner with our marketing team to provide insight derived from testing & experimenting with marketing data. This role is designed for someone eager to pull up their sleeves and report on data that cannot be easily accessed or stored.

 

Responsibilities include:

Data Tracking / Governance

  • Audit, uncover and resolve data integrity issues
  • Regularly perform database de-duping and cleanup procedures
  • Manage ongoing data cleanse support requests
  • Establish governance, process & reporting to keep data clean
  • Assist Sales & Marketing on best practices for data cleanliness

Reporting

  • Partner with marketing to understand business challenges & information needs & provide timely insights to support business decision-making
  • Ad hoc data analysis to answer specific questions to optimize performance & understand trends
  • Data crunching to track key metrics for digital campaigns based on website performance, email analysis, form conversions & lead generation
  • Collect data from multiple sources (i.e. Eloqua, Salesforce.com, Invoice data, GA), and from Business Operations to help correlate critical data points
  • Define & measure marketing KPIs that provide actionable insight for demand generation
  • Create marketing activity reports for distribution to Sales & Marketing
  • Partner with Business Operations for lead metrics & funnel reporting
  • Use your analytics skill to identify ways to improve yield on leads

Systems Administration

  • Eloqua & Salesforce Administration
  • Manage Eloqua projects to optimize productivity
  • Solve challenging business problems, learn new tools and techniques, work through the data, and find the meaningful insights


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Marketing Operations
  • Experience working with large and complex databases, including data warehouses and databases that support various corporate systems
  • Problem solving skills, draw conclusions & develop recommendations
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms such as Eloqua or Salesforce.com
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (including Macros), Microsoft Access, SQL & other business intelligence, dashboard & analytics tools
  • Proactive not reactive, a solution will not always be in front of you
  • Works independently and with a team to facilitate the goals
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, team player, self-starter
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, where agility & flexibility are needed
