Junior Business Intelligence Analyst

The Data and Analytics organization is an exciting blend of data, business, and technology. Through the use of industry-leading technologies, the Data and Analytics team at Progress designs and develops enterprise-wide reporting, visualizations and analytic solutions.

At their core, BI analysts at Progress are strong in quantitative data analysis, but also want to balance that with their interest in business. BI stands at the intersection of the business and IT; and standing at this intersection provides a premier opportunity to further develop your career in data and analytics while being exposed to many aspects of the business.

 What you will do in this role:

• Work closely with experienced colleagues to support BI tasks execution
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions and project activities
• Work with senior analysts to understand business problems and translate them into data analysis tasks
• Create basic dashboards to visualize KPIs and trends
• Collaborate with colleagues in maintaining or updating existing content
• Learn to apply visual best practices in your work

To be successful you will need to have: 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, or a quantitative discipline
• 0-2 years of experience in an analytical role or internship experience (relevant coursework will also be considered)
• Keen attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to identify problems and drive solutions
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods as needed

 Nice-to-haves: 

• Familiarity with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau
• Experience with data originating from Oracle, Google Analytics, Salesforce and Eloqua, or their equivalents
• Understanding of data sources and data management
• Basic knowledge of SQL
