The OpenEdge Content team’s mission is to deliver a persona-based, self-serviced, crowd-sourced, measurable experience through compelling content to rapidly enable our customers, partners and employees to be successful with our products and technology.

About the Role:  
As an Information Architect, you will:
  • Understand Progress technology and how it works to address real business challenges
  • Define and maintain persona-based user journeys for each Progress technology
  • Work with Product Management to define required content/appropriate medium to support Progress products
  • Provide Information Engineers instructional design support
  • Participate in drafting design guidelines for engaging, just-in-time, consumable content, including but not limited to documentation, videos, webinars, structured walk-throughs, tutorials, User Guides, instructor led-training, online training, self-service resources, whitepapers, assessment exams, certification programs
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of functional content design, development, and delivery solutions/best practices based on market trends
  • Participate in evaluating and implementing tooling solutions
  • Help define, analyze, and demonstrate ROI on current and new content strategies

About You:  
  • A technical B.A./B.S. degree and/or advanced degree or certification in Instructional Design
  • 15+ years of technical content development experience
  • Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming and JavaScript, or database administration, is required; experience with Progress technologies highly preferred
  • Proven ability to quickly identify and implement market-leading instructional design and technical development processes and tooling to produce a variety of content formats
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a strong, collaborative, Agile team environment
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in defining, analyzing, and demonstrating ROI on content strategies
