Senior Manager of Product Marketing

Job Summary

The Application Experience (AX) Product group is looking for a creative and passionate product marketer to lead the Product Marketing team focused on the AX product portfolio. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Product Strategy, AX, and focus on driving positioning, compelling messaging development, competitive intelligence curation, content development efforts, and GTM strategy through your team. This role will partner across several product lines to drive growth and improve retention.

This is a highly collaborative role where your success will be dependent on your ability to effectively partner with, motivate and inspire others. You will have key counterparts across sales, engineering, product management, and marketing where you will establish deep partnerships. This role will primarily focus on the LoadMaster, WhatsUp Gold, and Flowmon product lines and will work with teams across other product lines for the identification of new cross-category solution-based value creation opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Marketing team to orchestrate high-impact product launches, obtain in-depth customer and market insights, develop personas and use cases, drive messaging and collateral, optimize packaging and pricing and assist with sales enablement and knowledge sharing
  • Own the cross-product positioning and messaging of the AX portfolio of products and build a team that effectively supports sales and marketing with compelling sales tools, demos, training, and enablement
  • Establish and refine standardized practices for Progress AX product marketing to streamline onboarding and enable scale and efficiency
  • Become an internal and externally recognized expert on our customers, their use cases, and how they engage with the value propositions that we deliver
  • Work across key business unit functions to create and implement high-impact retention and growth GTM strategies to meet and exceed business KPI targets
  • Architect the research framework and practice for the product marketing team to deliver a steady pipeline of detailed and actionable competitive, market, and customer intelligence
  • Establish a deep relationship with engineering and product management to represent the voice of the customer in the multi-product roadmap
  • Drive the AR product messaging agenda and support AR/PR initiatives in collaboration with Marketing
  • Work on the development of a structured customer engagement program to shorten the distance between the end-user and product decisions
  • Build and develop a Product Marketing ecosystem that’s based on equality, fairness, and inclusion as core principles

Qualifications

  • Significant functional experience in product marketing, product management, or technical marketing
  • Self-starter that’s driven to identify gaps that need to be filled and proactively builds plans to execute
  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Proven and demonstrable team leadership and development experience
  • Successful track record of managing GTM strategy across multi-product portfolios that include different personas
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation-based communication skills
  • Strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to establish relationships across business functions and unify goals
  • Ability to connect strategy to operations execution
  • Comfortable working at a faster-than-average pace in a dynamic environment
  • Deep understanding of the industry and ability to identify future market opportunities
  • Ability to attract and develop high performing team members
