The role is a good fit for someone who is business-minded, has a strong sales and selling-trough-partners background, with experience in 2 Tier Distribution and is passionate about driving new business and growing relationships with partners. You will manage existing and win new clients from the DACH region and collaborate closely with internal teams and with the partner network for achieving the set goal and deliver on solutions for secure file transfer, the network monitoring.

You`ll have the chance to manage your own deal pipeline generated by processing qualified leads or by pro-active pipeline-building initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Drive revenue from Net New clients from the high growth products within the Progress portfolio
  • Work on qualified inbound leads and execute on outbound lead generation activities
  • Regular monthly and quarterly business reviews with key partners and mutual execution on new business triggering campaigns
  • Engage and recruit new partners to expand the partner network and partner sourced pipeline
  • Collaborate with the partners for the right deal development and up to its closure
  • Have strong phone presence and dialing dozens of calls with clients and partners per day
  • Build pipeline, forecast, and commit to delivering the quarterly revenue target in a co-work with the partner network members
  • Meet scorecard metrics related to lead management, pipeline generation, coverage, close rate, lead conversion, etc.
  • Organize/Perform basic online product demos to prospects and discovery calls
  • Be aware of the competitive landscape, use cases, key differentiators
  • Maintain and update Salesforce.com to accurately track all relative customer data, business insights, and record of interactions 
About you

  • Fluency in both German and English
  • Passion about selling software products and solid experience in a similar role/ domain
  • Know-how in solution selling, selling through partners, and identifying clients’ needs and mapping them to a solution
  • Selling through Tier 2 Distribution model is an advantage
  • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
  • Able to have impactful conversations with both technical and business audiences
  • Able to ask the right questions to qualify the opportunity and reach to the right stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills and readiness to proactively talk to customers
  • Able to work well under pressure, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Prior cold-calling experience in high-tech software
  • Strong pipeline and forecast management skills
