Job Summary

 

We are on the lookout for a Business Development Representative for our DataDirect product line to help us service our EMEA market. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying new business by phone, email and social media. Often the first point of contact with prospective customers, you will have the full responsibility for delivering stellar customer experience that will set the stage for continued engagement and growing interest in Progress technology and expertise.

As a Business Development Representative, you will interact with prospective customers via telephone, email and online chat. The leads you will be qualifying result from direct customer requests for trial, demo or quote, or are identified through marketing programs and/or prospects’ behavior.

 

What you will be focusing on:

  • Managing inbound sales requests received via web, email, and phone
  • Outbound prospecting to build pipeline for Inside and Field Sales Teams
  • Reviewing, contacting, and qualifying marketing-generated leads
  • Generating sales by phone for defined new customer segments, from initial contact to signed agreement
  • Collaborating with sales managers and sales teams to refine sales strategies and approaches
  • Maintaining and updating Salesforce.com to accurately track all relative customer data, business insights, and record of interactions
  • Using tools like DiscoverOrg, RainKing, LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and qualify decision makers who can utilize Progress solutions
  • Making a minimum of 50 strategic outbound calls per day
  • Articulating to customers the business and technical benefits of Progress solutions
  • Interpreting customer requirements, proactively act to identify solutions that meet customer needs
  • Setting discovery meeting appointments for Regional Sales Teams
  • Working collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers / Inside Sales in territory planning
  • Attending regular online and in-person product sessions to develop expertise in Progress products

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Lead Generation or Sales Experience
  • Enthusiastic, driven and confident personality
  • Go-getter, disciplined and organized
  • Strong written and verbal skills/ Fluency in English
  • Competitive edge and thrives in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, RainKing, DiscoverOrg experience
  • Previous tele-qualification experience a plus
