What is DataDirect?

September 10, 2012 0 Comments

Here at DataDirect, we take great pride in the fact that we build the best, fastest most functional database drivers and data access solutions on the planet. And, we’re excited about helping our customers seamlessly connect to their data so that they can make the best use of it. For us, all this stuff is second nature - we live and breathe bits and bytes over the wire - but to most people what we do is pretty low level and not easy to see.....but very critical to their business.

The simple fact is that data connectivity has changed dramatically over the last four years. Databases are rapidly moving to the cloud, and Big Data has become a problem for companies across sectors. Solving the resulting data access challenges to get the most out of available data is a huge problem in today’s market, one that DataDirect is committed to solving by providing standards-based connectivity to those new sources, such as Hadoop, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. so that companies can use their existing enterprise infrastructure to get these new sources of data integrated into their analytics stacks.

Check out this quick video that explains DataDirect’s play in the data connectivity space and some of the challenges that companies are currently facing with their data access. If you have any questions about how our technology can help your company, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always excited to talk data access!
