With release 4.2, Progress DataDirect Hybrid Data Pipeline supports OData 4 along with OData 2. This release also introduces several deployment and security enhancements to help improve the product experience.
Hybrid Data Pipeline provides powerful, secure access to cloud and on-premises data sources via ODBC, JDBC and OData. The latest release enhances the user experience by making it very easy to deploy, manage and secure the Hybrid Data Pipeline Server and the On-Premises Connector.
OData is the ISO/IEC approved OASIS standard for building and consuming RESTful APIs. Hybrid Data Pipeline makes it easy to deploy OData (REST API) against any of the databases supported by Hybrid Data Pipeline.
OData 4 adds several new features and redefines several features of OData 2. Most importantly, OData 4 clients are not compatible with OData 2. Thus, we offer both OData 2 and OData 4 endpoints through Hybrid Data Pipeline. Here are some of the key OData 4 features that are supported by Hybrid Data Pipeline:
