Using our vendor-agnostic data gateway, your cloud app can access any cloud or on-premises data source behind the firewall without requiring IT to change the firewall configuration.

Hybrid Data Pipeline delivers secure data access for a variety of use cases, including:

  • Firewall-Friendly Access to On-Premises Data Sources
  • Expose Your Data Source for Open Analytics via SQL or REST
  • A Single Interface to Access Any Cloud Data Source

What’s New in Hybrid Data Pipeline?

Our latest release adds additional security features and enhanced support for OData 4, as well as support for new databases and versions based on customer request.

Security requirements are in higher demand than ever before and Progress DataDirect is constantly updated for product security so that our partners can rely on us for their data access security needs. With its unique capability to securely access data behind a firewall, Hybrid Data Pipeline continues to be at the forefront of data security.

Hybrid Data Pipeline’s latest expanded Security features include:

  • Support for LDAP authentication through an external authentication plugin
  • A new Permissions API enables administrators to manage permissions through the Users, Roles, and DataSource APIs. In addition, the Permissions API allows administrators to create data sources on behalf of users and manage end user access to data source details.
  • Support for a password policy

Enhanced OData 4 Support

OData is a standard that the industry has adopted for building and consuming REST APIs.Hybrid Data Pipeline allows you to create OData 2 or OData 4 end points from the data source of your choice. With our 4.3 release, Hybrid Data Pipeline supports functions for IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server data stores. This functionality was previously added for Oracle Database. This feature allows you to expose functions stored on a database via OData.
