Announcing the release of the first standards-based JDBC data access to the cloud - to Salesforce.com!  Today, Tuesday March 1st, we made generally available our Connect XE for JDBC Driver - with the very first data source, Salesforce.com.

After a wildly successful beta, this release positions Progress DataDirect at the forefront of data connectivity for cloud data sources by offering JDBC Type V support for Salesforce.com™ CRM on the Java™ platform.

There are several release highlights - including the following:

  • JDBC API Type 5 Functionality Availability for Cloud Data Sources
  • Full SQL-92 Support for the entire Salesforce.com CRM data model
  • Support for DataDirect Bulk Load for Salesforce.com
  • Real-time and high-performing Salesforce.com Access
