On Site Training
On site training is the most cost effective way to bring a number of developers up to speed without having to leave the office. Progress Education would be happy to provide custom learning solutions to more closely match with your needs.
For any customer with five or more developers, an on site course may have a number of advantages over the scheduled course
- On Site training is run on demand, so the course will be run when the customer needs it most.
- No hotel or travel fees for the attendees
- Held on your own site, so the environment will be known to all attendees
- Course delivery can be customised to meet the customer requirements
- Course timings can easily accommodate the customer

Customised Training Courses
If any customer asks for a course which is not on our course schedule or some alterations to a standard course to more closely meet their needs, then Progress Education Services will - within reason - make all efforts to help the customer.
The within reason clause is a very real one - if a customer wants a five day course taught in 3 with nothing taken out, we will of course decline. Customisation will never be done at the expense of quality.
Common customisations include:
- Merging two courses into a single teachable module
- Teaching the course against the customers own database (normally requires consultancy to familiarise the instructor with the customer database).
- Teaching a module not normally in a course.
Progress Mentoring
In an increasingly complex development environment, it is often difficult to find the budget to have a training course adapted to fit specifically to a customers own environment or the time to translate the concepts learned on a course into something directly relavent to a customers own database.
Mentoring is possibly the perfect answer to this. Combining elements of a standard training course with the hands on experience of a skilled contractor onsite with the student to help them put their skills into perspective using their own systems.
Mentoring costs £900 per day.
