Below are brief biographical overviews of speakers and panelists listed in alphabetical order.

Jeff Broadhurst
President
Apprise Software, Inc.

Jeff is the President of Apprise Software, Inc. and originally founded Apprise Software in 1984. As president, Jeff provides strategic leadership for all of Apprise Software’s operations globally and leads the business development efforts of the company on a day-to-day basis. Prior to founding Apprise Software, Jeff held various operations and management positions. Jeff currently lives in Nanjing, China.

John Chapman
Editorial Director
IT Europa

John has been in the IT industry for 38 years. In his current position, John oversees the editorial content and provides feature articles for Channel Business Solutions, 8020 EUROPA and the IT Europa Newsletter.

John’s breadth and depth of knowledge on the IT market has enabled him to chair strategy meetings within major IT companies, provide consultancy services to other IT organizations and made him a popular industry speaker providing keynote and seminar presentations to all types of audiences. Over the last seven years he has also written for and edited Channel Business Solutions, the influential IT channel based publication.

During his 35 years John has held director level roles within manufacturers, distributors, service providers and the reseller channel. He has been responsible for launching some of today’s major IT brands in the UK as well as introducing many new technologies, which are now at the heart of IT infrastructure used daily by businesses.

During the 1990s, John was Managing Director of IT distribution, IT services and solution provider organizations. He has a successful track record of starting up or turning around these organizations and then taking them through to merger or acquisition stage.

Chris Dowse

NeoChange, Inc.

Chris is the Founder and CEO of Neochange, the leading management consulting firm focused exclusively on the complex challenge of “Effective IT Adoption.” Neochange mitigates adoption risk and drives business transformations in the areas of IT Business Service Management, PPM, CRM and Enterprise Asset Management.

As CEO, Chris is responsible for the development of the Adopt ITTM methodology which delivers productivity improvements of 10-30% for enterprise software buyers such as Wells Fargo, Cisco, DirecTV and Walgreens. Neochange advises industry-leading ISV’s ($50MM to $500MM in revenues) looking to develop and implement effective adoption solutions and practices that improve earnings by 15%+. Software companies advised include McKesson Provider Technologies, Fiserv EFT, Salesforce.com and Meridium.

Chris is a cited industry thought -leader on organizational adoption and software-driven transformations. His research and opinion papers have been published in various technology channels such as Information Week, SoftwareCEO and Sandhill.com. Chris is also a Strategic Adviser to the TPSA (Technology Professional Services Association).

Jerome Fougerat
Regional Director
Corum Group

Jerome joined Corum in 2006 and now serves as Regional Director in Paris. His entrepreneurial and IT management career began in the mid-1990’s when he co-founded Tribelt, an IT service company for telcos and large banks. He then co-founded Solsoft, a network security software company, for which he raised more than 20M€ from international top tier VCs. Established in France and in the USA, Solsoft sold its solutions to more than 50 of the Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Jerome also served as CEO of NetSecureOne, an IT security group he created when merging Zencod and NetSecure Software, and as Sales and Marketing Director for Delia Systems, a scheduling software company.

Jerome began his professional career in financial journalism (Capital Finance) before joining the investment firm Renovaction (Rockefeller Foundation’s investment vehicle in France). He holds an Executive MBA from HEC, as well as History and English degrees, and is fluent in both French and English.

Ian French
CEO
Siceo Ltd.

In 2004 Ian founded Siceo Ltd., a European management consultancy organization specializing in mergers and acquisitions and finance for growing organizations and growth strategies for the indirect channels. As the CEO and founder Ian has assisted in seven successful acquisitions and works with partners in both the US and Europe helping companies develop better strategies and identify new opportunities.

Ian began his career in the merchant banking and money market industry where he focused on IT related manufacturers and distributors. His success and experience eventually led him to become the European President of a NASDAQ-listed company with revenues of $1.4 billion across eight countries.

Peter Jansen
Regional Director, Benelux
Progress Software

Peter began his career with Progress Software Corporation in 1993 as Sales Manager Indirect Sales, Netherlands and advanced quickly to become Country Manager, Benelux. In 1999 he was promoted to Regional Director, Benelux. In 2007, Peter became responsible for the entire Indirect Business in EMEA.

Peter has 20 years of experience in the software industry. Before joining Progress, he was a sales manager with Volmac and Wang. During his career Peter has developed strong management skills and enjoys a strong network of important customers and partners within different sectors of the IT industry.

Jerry Kelly
Director, Partner Sales US Operations
Progress Software

Jerry is currently directing Partner sales for the US Operations at Progress Software. In his position, he is responsible for managing all US Partners and enabling them to grow through dedicated account management, empowerment programs and co-marketing. Jerry’s 20-plus year career has been devoted to high technology where he has attained a strong reputation of consistent success in direct and indirect channel sales at the district, regional and national levels. Jerry built his knowledge of high technology and sales methodology at Harris/Lanier Corporation and MTX.

Paul Maillot
President and CEO
SNEDA

Paul is the President and CEO of SNEDA based in Nantes with regional offices in Paris, Toulouse and Lyon. SNEDA specializes in packaged solutions and services for property and real estate management and is the second largest provider of applications for Real Estate processing in France. Prior to joining SNEDA, Paul served as Managing Director of a large French insurance company and was a commander in the French Police. Paul holds a degree from Saint-Cyr, the French equivalent of Westpoint.

Bob Palumbo
Vice President of Partner Development and Partner Marketing
Progress Software

As Vice President of Partner Development and Partner Marketing Bob is responsible for the application partner strategy and partner programs. Before joining Progress, he worked as Vice President of Marketing for Biz2Net Corporation where he was responsible for developing the company’s e-commerce strategies. Bob has held similar positions at other Internet start-ups such as echo Media Technology, Inc. and Computer Express. He also held a variety of position at Digital Equipment Corporation with responsibilities spanning strategic planning, applications marketing, product marketing and financial management. Bob holds an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Bernard-Louis Roques

Bernard is a pioneer in the IT (information technology) venture capital industry. As the founding partner of ABN Amro Capital France, Bernard led over 35 IT investments a majority of which have gone public. He has gained solid entrepreneurial experience after having acquired a small French industrial company in 1992, restoring it to profitability and then successfully selling it 18 months later.

Bernard is a board member of ESI Group (technical software, Euronext ‘ESI’), Netbooster (Internet, Euronext ‘ALNBT’), Phone Systems (VoIP, Euronext ‘PHO’), DenyAll (security software), Equitime (HR optimization software), MoMac (mobile technology), PeopleCube (workplace management software), Godv (Internet, Euronext “ALGOA”). He received an MBA from Essec and EC from MIT.

Colleen Smith
Director, Software as a Service
Progress Software

Colleen joined Progress in 2005 as Director, Software as a Service bringing with her 20 years of software and technology experience. In this role, she works on developing new business opportunities for Progress around the Company’s Software as a Service business initiative. Prior to joining Progress, Colleen was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Bristol Technology, responsible for the company's marketing, strategy and business development operations, worldwide. Prior to joining Bristol, she was Vice President and General Manager of the Business Process and Technology Practices at AMR Research, a provider of independent analysis and actionable advice to more than 5,000 supply chain and technology executives worldwide. Previously in her career, she held the role of Vice President of Research & Development at Geac Computer Systems and held other sales and marketing roles at D&B Software/M&D.

Colleen holds a bachelor's degree in Business and Computer Information Systems from Stonehill College and an MBA from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. She has published many research articles on technology best practices and is a frequent guest speaker at Industry events. Her current area of focus/expertise is on Software as a Service (SaaS)—the growth opportunities and technology challenges associated with this new business model.

Patrick Van de Looverbosch

Patrick has over 24 years experience in application software and software development. He founded Intris in 1994 as a software house specialising in external logistics and transportation. Today, Intris offers applications for airfreight, road transport, transport planning, forwarding, public warehouse, container control, liner agency, customs declaration and container repair and has over 230 clients and 4,500 users in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, East-Europe and Asia.
