OpenEdge eLearning Library
What is the OpenEdge Library?
The OpenEdge Library is a subscription-based service that gives you access to all of our courses for one low price for 12 months per student. This means that for the length of the subscription, you have unlimited online access to the entire Progress OpenEdge Catalog. You also have access to the Progress Sonic Catalog and other Progress Product training as it is released. New courses and course updates are continually being added to the OpenEdge Library so you can keep pace with the latest Progress technology.
The OpenEdge Library includes three kinds of courses:
- Web-based Training (WBT) – Our highly interactive, award-winning online courses.
- eBooks – Online versions of our Instructor-led Training books, accompanied by downloadable exercise and example files.
- Product Readiness training – Multiple presentations with downloadable exercises originally created for Progress employees.

Advantages
An OpenEdge Library subscription offers many advantages, including:
- You can take as many courses as you like, whenever you like.
- You can learn in your own style, at your own pace. You can go through a course from start-to-finish, or go directly to the lesson or topic you need, when you need it. And you can revisit a topic as many times as you like.
- You can take training when it fits your schedule. There is no need to register for training in advance, or wait until a class is offered.
- You don’t have to worry about traveling to take a course or being away from work for extended periods of time.
- You will always have access to the latest training.
- We will continually add new and revised versions of courses throughout the year, while retaining the older versions as well.
We are also making available the same product update training that we deliver internally to Progress employees. If you want to know the latest about our product releases, this is the training you’ve been looking for. These raw, rough-around-the-edges courses offer the most timely information possible and they will only be available to subscribers.
All you need is a computer with a Web browser and an Internet connection. To run many of the labs, you need Progress products installed on your machine.
To subscribe to the OpenEdge Library:
- Visit wbt.progress.com.
- Select the Self Register option.
- Review the legal terms of a subscription to the eLearning Library.
- Complete the New User Registration page.
Progress Software will contact you to process your payment, and activate your subscription.
