Leeds Co-operative Society, the oldest Co-operative society in the world, is Leeds' largest independent retailer with around 60 outlets made up of food convenience stores, travel outlets, garages, optical outlets and funeral homes.

Challenge

Management was unable to quickly access information required for strategic planning due to multiple disparate databases used to run Leeds' HR operations.

Solution

Leeds installed OpenPeople, a fully integrated Payroll and HR application developed by Progress partner Grampian Software.

Results

• Improved efficiency: Reports are easy and quick to produce saving the Company a great deal of time.
• Improved productivity and accuracy: The HR module has combined all of the disparate databases and has reduced both the individual's workload and input errors as a result.
