SSC, Stockholm Spine Center AB, is a leading Swedish clinic for diagnosis and treatment of back problems. The center takes care of both in- and outpatients in premises at the Löwenströmska Hospital just outside of Stockholm. The current capacity is 500 operations a year AND SSC employs 37 people.

Challenge

As a new venture, the SSC was looking for the latest technology enabling mobile access to information and the possibility of registering appointments online with direct booking confirmations for the hospital.

Solution

The center chose Kliniken, a patient registration and care application developed by Progress partner G4IT. This patient registration and care application is one of the first solutions written by physicians for physicians.

Results

  • Ease of use: The easy-to-use GUI and total integration reduces the need for training.
  • Increased Efficiency: Efficiency has increased as many manual routines, which slow down the flow of communication, have been eliminated.
  • Wireless access: The system is built to give mobile access to information so a physician can download his schedule onto his Palm Pilot or an equivalent device, modify or make notes and then automatically update the information on the central system.
