Mannway

Mannway is one of Australia's leading transport and logistics companies with a fleet of 600 vehicles and contracts with high profile companies like BlueScope, Bunnings, MeadowLea and OneSteel. With eight distribution centers located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle, Mannway provides outsourced contract distribution services and warehouse operations as well as interstate line-haul services.

Challenge

Mannway had been using an earlier, Unix-based version of the Freight2020 logistics management solution from Progress application partner CMS Transport Systems and needed more functionality such as automation of scheduling and access to real-time information.

Solution

Mannway now uses the OpenEdge-based Freight2020 system to enable the business to maintain visibility and accountability of activities such as transport management, contract logistics, financials, operations, fleet management, warehousing, inventory management, compliance and reporting.
