OpenEdge® 10.2A Technology Preview Program Overview

The OpenEdge 10.2A Technology Preview Program focuses on verifying the functional design and stability of certain enhancements planned for the OpenEdge 10.2A product set. A Technology Preview (TP) program differs from a typical OpenEdge Beta in that it is very focused, with only a key subset of products provided for testing. With the focus of 10.2ATP being mainly on the Advanced GUI, OpenEdge Architect, and structured error handling, many of the other product elements unrelated to these features are not included.

The key features included in the 10.2A Technology Preview are:

OpenEdge Advanced GUI, based upon the Microsoft .NET framework
Support for the development of Advanced GUI applications within OpenEdge Architect
Structured error handling

One of the main purposes of the 10.2A Technology Preview is to assure that with these new features, OpenEdge is on the right track for meeting your needs in the increasingly competitive business-application market.
