What is the guest policy at Exchange?
You are welcome to bring family members along on your trip. A guest must be 21 years of age or older and must be a paid registrant to attend any Exchange activities.
Can I receive the discounted hotel rate if I extend my stay?
Yes, the exclusive Exchange discounted room rate will be honored for three days before the conference and three days after the conference. Please be sure to mention that you are with Progress Exchange 2008 when making your reservations.
What can guests do at the Disneyland Resort while I am at Exchange?
Disneyland Resort Paris is a great vacation destination for visitors of all ages. The hotels selected for Exchange are within walking distance to all Disneyland Resort attractions. In addition the hotels offer organized excursions to Paris and local attractions. The hotel concierge is well equipped to guide travelers or you can visit the Tourist Information Kiosk located in the middle of the resort. Disneyland Resort offers the following onsite attractions:
- Disneyland Park – this magic kingdom is the place where you can meet your favorite Disney Characters, explore your favorite Disney lands just as you remember them in classic Disney stories and enjoy the thrills of major attractions like Space Mountain, "It's a Small World", Thunder Mountain and more.
- Walt Disney Studios Park – visit the world of cinema and television where four cinemagical "lots" feature attractions and spectacular shows
- Disney Village – take the entire family from day to evening at one of Europe's most unique entertainment areas offering shopping, dining, cinemas, dancing. Live music, wild shows, street artists and games for the whole family
- Golf Disney – located a few kilometers from the Disneyland Park, amateurs and experienced professionals will enjoy three 9-hole courses that can be combined to offer three entirely different 18-hole courses.
- La Vallée Village – chic outlet shopping just 5 minutes by car from the Disney Resort and open 7 days a week.
- Lake Disney – from the Marina Del Ray at Disney Village you can enjoy lake activities year round such as canoes, boating and quadric-cycles.
Are day trips outside of the resort offered?
Yes, the Disneyland Resort offers a number of organized excursions to Paris and the surrounding area including day and evening tours of Paris, excursions to Provins, a medieval walled town listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, and a magical evening to Vaux le Vicomte Chateau, a wonderful 17th century masterpiece lit by two thousand candles. These organized excursions are booked directly with the hotel at the point of reservations or on site at your Disney Hotel Concierge Desk.
What amenities/services for children can I count on?
Disneyland Resort Paris also offers a wide range of services for families with infants and children to make your visit more enjoyable and convenient:
- Special children's rates at Disney Hotels and Theme Parks.
- Baby switch allowing Mom and Dad to take turns on adult rides without having to wait in line a second time.
- Children's menus at all restaurants (plus a special gift!).
- High chairs and bottle warmers at all Disney restaurants.
- Indoor/outdoor play areas in the Parks and at most Disney Hotels.
- Children's corners with activities on certain days at Disney Hotels.

What is the dress code at Exchange?
Comfortable business casual attire is appropriate for all Exchange events and functions.
What will the weather be like?
Expect a comfortable climate with average temperatures in June between 60°F (15°C) and 73°F (23°C). Rainfall can occur at any time of the year and Paris is known for its sudden showers so bring a sweater or light jacket.
How much time should I allow for airport security?
Conventional wisdom calls for arriving at the airport at least two hours prior to your flight to Europe as well as before an intra-Europe flight.
What items are permitted and prohibited for air travel?
While liquids and aerosols are now allowed on flights go by the 3-1-1 rule: (3) All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. (1) All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in a single, quart-size, zip-top clear plastic bag. Each traveler can carry one. (1) Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic bag from their carry on for separate screening.
Travelers from the UK are allowed one piece of carry-on baggage only i.e. a purse and laptop bag will be counted as two pieces and you will be required to check one of them.

What documentation do I need to enter the country?
A valid passport is required of all those entering France. You may need to provide evidence of the purpose of the visit, means of support for the duration of stay and accommodation arrangements. Check with your travel agent before departing to determine necessary documentation including if a visa is required. While no visa is needed for US citizens staying less than 90 days, it is required for many others countries.
What are custom restrictions?
US Customs – US citizens staying in France more than two days can bring back $400 worth of merchandise duty free. The next $1000 worth receives a flat 10% duty. Duty free limit on gifts is $100. Note: The VAT can be refunded for goods, but not services. Keep your receipts for customs.
French Customs – No vaccinations are required to enter the country. For the most up-to-date information on what you may bring to France including currency rules, medication and importing a variety of goods, such as food products, contact the French Embassy.
Where can I change currency?
Currency can be changed throughout the airports upon arrival or from the city of departure as well as at any Disneyland Resort Hotel.
Are fitness opportunities offered at the hotels?
All three Disney properties used for Exchange offer both indoor and outdoor pools, one or two fitness rooms, saunas, whirlpools, steam baths and solariums. In addition, sporting activities can be found throughout each park.
What is the Disneyland Resort hotel check in/out time?
Check-In: 3:00pm. Room assignments prior to that time are based on availability.
Check-Out: 11:00am. Ask for the Express Checkout Service.
Are there shuttle buses from the airports to the resort?
Shuttle bus service is offered from either Roissy/Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports to the Disneyland Resort hotels via the Val d'Europe Airports' (VEA). VEA shuttle buses ensure connections every 20 minutes during peak hours, from 8:30am to 7:45pm depending on destination. They serve each of the hotels (Disneyland hotels and Disneyland Selected hotels) as well as the bus station. Priced at 16 € per trip adults and 13 € per trip for children 3-11. Purchase tickets directly from VEA drivers, your travel agent or at Aéroports de Paris counters in the airports. For additional information or for time schedules, visit www.vea.fr.
Is group transportation available?
Group transportation is not available for Exchange.
Driving directions from Paris and airports:
- From Roissy/Charles-de-Gaulle Airport:
Leaving the airport follow the signs for Marne La Vallée until you come to the A104 (La Francilienne). After about 27 kilometres, leave the A104 for the A4, following Metz / Nancy. Exit 13 is 9 kilometres further on, and exit 14, 12 kilometres. - From Orly Airport:
When you leave the airport, head for "Paris" and follow the signs for "Créteil" on the A86. After 11 kilometres, join the A4, heading for Metz / Nancy. Exit 13 is 27 kilometres further on, and exit 14, 30 kilometres. - From Paris:
On the Périphérique, at the Porte de Bercy exit (south east of Paris), follow Metz / Nancy on the A4 motorway. To reach the Disneyland Resort hotels, take exit 14, Val d'Europe, Parc Disneyland.
Tour of Paris Offered!
Exclusive tour of Montmatre Quarter of Paris is offered exclusively to Exchange attendees on Tuesday evening (39 euro per person). To secure a seat fax or phone no later than 19 May, 2008.
