Call for Speakers

We are now accepting session proposals for Exchange 2009. The event will be held 8-11 June 2009 in New Orleans.

The goal is to deliver practical and highly valuable technical content to our attendees - people involved in developing, integrating and managing software applications.

Submit your proposals on or before 7 January 2009.

Please review the preparation schedule below to make sure you can meet the deadlines. This is very important as every session will have a concept review and first draft review.

You may submit more than one breakout session proposal

Breakout session speakers will receive one free conference registration and admission to the conference, or if already registered a refund for one registration. If a session includes multiple speakers, the value of the pass will be shared amongst the speakers.

A typical Exchange breakout session:

  • Covers a technical topic of interest to one or more of the following: architects, developers, integrators, DBAs, etc.
  • Is informative and instructional.  It can be a detailed how-to presentation, it can focus on best practices, or it can be a case study that shows the power of the product
  • Demonstrates techniques and/or technology with code examples and illustrative diagrams wherever possible to help the audience understand the subject matter
  • Is 60 minutes in length, including Q&A. If you want more time, submit two proposals (i.e. part 1 and part 2).

You may also submit Birds of Feather (BOF) proposals. BOFs are held after hours and are a chance to meet with others, discuss issues and common challenges, exchange ideas and share solutions in an informal atmosphere. These sessions are audience-led with no formal agenda or speakers.

Good Luck. We look forward to seeing many great proposals and an exciting conference.
