Jay Bhatt is president and chief executive officer of Progress Software. He is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Progress Software.
Previously, Bhatt was senior vice president at Autodesk, where he was responsible for the company’s global Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Solutions Division. In this role, Bhatt was responsible for software development, marketing, product management, product design, business development, finance and human resources. Prior to becoming senior vice president, Bhatt led Autodesk’s Corporate Development, Business Development and Strategy functions, and was responsible for driving M&A, strategic partnerships and corporate strategic planning. He joined AutoDesk in 2001 when it acquired Buzzsaw.com, a cloud-based software company where Bhatt served as chief financial officer and head of corporate development.
Bhatt received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
