Progress Sonic ESB Recognized as Leading Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

Independent research firm, Forrester Research, Inc., named Progress® Sonic® ESB as a leader in the enterprise service bus (ESB) market with top scores in the current offering and strategy dimensions of "The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Service Buses, Q1 2009" Report.

The Forrester Research report evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of 10 top commercial and open source ESB vendors based on a comprehensive set of evaluation criteria.

Ken Rugg, vice president and general manager, Integration Infrastructure, Progress Software, said: "This report echoes the feedback we receive from our customers, who acknowledge the tremendous competitive value they gain when using the Sonic ESB. We introduced the world's first ESB product and are proud that Forrester has named Sonic ESB a leader. Customers demand more from their IT infrastructure, especially in today's challenging economic environment: uninterrupted flow of business-critical transactions, richer functionality, higher availability, out of the box usability, and the capability to manage multi-site deployments as easily as a single data center."
