Progress Software Wins Two ACORD 2009 Accomplishment Awards with DataXtend SI
Innovative Implementation and Early Adopter Awards presented at ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum

Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS), a global provider of application infrastructure software used to develop, deploy, integrate and manage business applications, announced today that it garnered two ACORD 2009 Accomplishment Awards at the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum. The Innovative Implementation and Early Adopter awards recognize the achievements of Progress, through the use of its Progress® DataXtend® Semantic Integrator (SI) product, in the insurance industry.
Progress was awarded the Innovative Implementation award for its creation of the Progress DataXtend Browser for ACORD. This tool for insurers will enable ACORD members to more easily use and understand the existing ACORD standards with the ability to view and navigate the Property & Casualty/Surety and Life, Annuity & Health XML standards.
Additionally, Progress earned the Early Adopter award for their work in supporting the development of unambiguous mappings between the new ACORD Information Model (IM) and its existing XML standards. This work was completed using DataXtend SI.
