Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS), a provider of leading application infrastructure software to develop, deploy, integrate and manage business applications, will participate in two presentations and several event activities next week at TeleManagement World 2007 in Nice, France as part of the rollout of the latest release of the Progress® DataXtend® Semantic Integrator.
- John Petrie, Vice President of DataXtend products, will be leading the panel entitled, "Data Integration for OSS/BSS in Service Oriented Architecture," on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm. He will discuss data integration challenges in SOA, as well as the role of industry data models, interface standards and related topics.
- Progress Software's Lead Architect for DataXtend, Esther Jesurum, will present on a "Comprehensive Environment for OSS Transformation," on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 from 4:00-5:30. The session will focus on how solutions associated with the TM Forum's Prosspero brand can guide OSS development in a world defined by the convergence of telecom, media and the Internet, as well as the introduction of multi-play service offerings and new business models.
- In Booth #89, TM Forum's Senior Technical Program Manager John Reilly will be signing copies of his book, "Getting Started with the SID: A SID Modeler's Guide," which will be distributed free to conference attendees at TeleManagement World. Each book includes a read-only version of Progress® DataXtend™ Semantic Integrator, which contains the SID preloaded as the common model. With the DataXtend SID Model Browser users can navigate through any of the eight distinct domains of the SID, inspecting the hierarchy within a specific domain, and the details of the classes and attributes contained within the hierarchy.
- Progress Software will also participate in two Catalyst Showcase projects, including the NGNOSS Blueprint, which demonstrates how standards allow the easy introduction of converged services on next generation networks. The second demonstration, focused on the catalyst Harmony, will show that standards-based technology can radically change the approach to the use of OSS in the operation of networks and delivery services to end customers.
- Progress Software Corporation is also a finalist for the Best Practices Supplier category as well as the Most Innovative Supplier category in the TM Forum Excellence Awards.
