Visualize, Search and Understand the ACORD Life and P&C XML Standards
The ACORD Life and P&C XML standards are common data models for the insurance industry that cover nearly every concept found within Life and P&C carriers. To make it easier to explore these broad and comprehensive standards, Progress has partnered with ACORD to deliver the DataXtend Browser for ACORD. The DataXtend Browsers for ACORD (PCS XML v1.15.0 and LAH Standards v2.20.00) are now available in the members' area of www.acord.org.
The ACORD XML for Life, Annuity & Health and Property & Casualty/Surety common data models facilitate real-time, cross-platform, communication and data interoperability across the Insurance industry. In order to describe every detail associated with each line of business, the ACORD standards are broad and comprehensive. Concepts and classes for Life, Annuity & Health, and Property & Casualty/Surety are represented as well as specific classes that meet the needs of the many intended users, consumers and providers of this information such as brokers, agents, reinsurance, third-party data providers and other institutions.
Widespread industry adoption of the ACORD data models will positively impact the participants, the broader insurance ecosystem, and the end consumer with increased efficiencies and improved communications. To date, carriers responsible for more than 80% of worldwide premiums have adopted ACORD, and the numbers keep climbing.
Progress has partnered with ACORD to deliver the DataXtend Browser for ACORD. This new and innovative model browser enables ACORD members to more easily use and understand the existing ACORD standards. The Browser provides a simplified means of viewing and navigating the XML models, and helps ACORD members to take full advantage of the comprehensive nature of these standards in a more user-friendly and productive way.
