TM Forum Sees Framework Validation in ITU-T Acceptance

Application Integration Using the SID: A Review
Analyst and frequent Pipeline contributor Wedge Greene of LTC, International, took a look at the new book, Application Integration Using the SID by John Reilly and John Wilmes, which was published by the TM Forum, April 2008. He concluded, "Following the recommendations in this book significantly lowers the cost of entry to NGOSS projects by providing a clear, data-driven approach to application and service integration. It will save you lots of time and currency."

The new effort will be known as the OASIS Telecommunications Services Member Section or OASIS Telecom. Founding members of the OASIS Telecom group, which will collaborate to optimize SOA for use in the telecommunications sector, include BEA Systems, IBM, Primeton Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya, CA, Microsoft, NEC, Nortel Networks, Oracle, Progress Software and VeriSign. OASIS announced the formation of the new group April 28.
