Web-based Training

Progress WBT gives you the opportunity to take Progress training at a lower cost than ever before and without having to travel or be away from the office for several days. It's easy to find and take just the training you need, when you need it, and when it fits your schedule. You can choose the training you need, and take it anytime, wherever you have access to the Internet.

Our web-based training offers you:

  • Convenience: Get the training you need when you need it, not just when it is offered. You can fit learning into your schedule and complete the training from any computer with Internet access. You don't need to worry about the expense of travel or being away from home and work for days at a time.
  • Flexibility: Choose the eLessons that interest you. You can subscribe to individual eLessons or specially priced bundles. You pay for and take just the training you need, at a pace that suits your learning style.
  • Lower Cost: WBT is priced lower than comparable instructor-led training. In addition, because you can pick and choose which courses or eLessons you take, you don't need to pay for or attend training in which you are not interested.
  • High Quality: Our web-based training was developed using the same award-winning instructional strategies as our task-based multimedia CBT. Features include:
    • Animations with audio to teach concepts, procedures, and processes.
    • Hands-on practice in a simulated Progress environment, with step-by-step instructions and feedback.
    • Hands-on lab exercises in a live version of Progress, with hints and solutions provided.
    • Assessments with feedback to test your understanding of key concepts.

Introducing the OpenEdge eLearning Library (WBT)

The OpenEdge Library is a subscription-based service that gives you access to all of our courses in Progress OpenEdge Catalog and Progress Sonic Catalog for the low price of US$1,500 for 12 months per student.

This means that for the length of the subscription, you have unlimited online access to the entire Progress OpenEdge Catalog (over 40 titles). New courses and course updates will be added to the OpenEdge Library regularly so you can keep pace with changing functionality right at your desktop.

An OpenEdge Library subscription offers many advantages, including:

  • You can take as many courses as you like, whenever you like.
  • You can learn in your own style, at your own pace. You can go through a course from start-to-finish, or go directly to the lesson or topic you need, when you need it. And you can revisit a topic as many times as you like.
  • You can take training when it fits your schedule. There is no need to register for training in advance, or wait until a class is offered.
  • You don't have to worry about traveling to take a course or being away from work for extended periods of time.
  • You will always have access to the latest training.
  • We will continually add new and revised versions of courses, while retaining the older versions as well.

And for the first time, we will be making available the same product update training that we deliver internally to Progress employees. If you want to know the latest product releases, this is the training you've been looking for. These raw, rough-around-the-edges courses offer “What's New” information and made available only to OpenEdge Library subscribers.

The OpenEdge Library includes three kinds of courses:

  • Web-based Training (WBT) – Our highly interactive, award-winning online courses.
  • eBooks – Online versions of our Instructor-led Training books, accompanied by downloadable exercise and example files.
  • Product Readiness training – Multiple presentations with downloadable exercises originally created for Progress employees.

Introducing the Enterprise Infrastructure eLearning Library

The Enterprise Infrastructure eLearning Library is a subscription-based eLearning service that gives you access to the Progress Sonic Catalog and the Progress Actional Catalog for one low subscription fee of US$1,000 per year for each student. This means that for the entire year, you have unlimited online access to the entire Enterprise Infrastructure library of eLearning titles. New courses, course updates and eLearning on other Progress products will be added to the Enterprise Infrastructure eLearning Library regularly so you can keep pace with changing functionality right at your desktop.

An Enterprise Infrastructure eLearning Library subscription offers many advantages, including:
